What is Automobile ?

  2. Tempo, bus, minitruck, etc. are examples of medium motor vehicles (MMV).

  3. Trucks, trailers, containers, tractors, multi-axle buses, etc. are examples of heavy vehicles (HMV).

Based On The Fuel Used In The Vehicle:

The type of gasoline and types of parts used is a crucial factor in determining how to classify different types of vehicles. The performance and efficiency criteria of the vehicle are significantly influenced by fuel.

Petrol - The mechanism that employs gasoline is known as the spark ignition system. The anti-knock, performance, and efficiency factors of gasoline are determined by its octane rating. The available octane numbers are typically 87, 89, and 91-93. primarily utilized in two-wheelers and passenger cars.

Diesel - Compression ignition system for diesel vehicles. Diesel's cetane rating determines the amount of compression and fuel required for ignition. The cetane values typically fall between 45 and 55. utilized primarily in heavy-duty and commercial vehicles.

Gas - Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) is a different type of fuel that can be used in place of gasoline. The benefit is that the car emits fewer harmful emissions; the drawback is that the vehicle performs less well than when it is powered by gasoline. These are primarily utilised in cars and public transportation vehicles.

Electric - Vehicles are a relatively new kind of transportation that use electricity instead of combustible fuels. The high-capacity battery is used by these vehicles as fuel.

Hydrogen -The hydrogen fuel cell is an impending innovation in the automotive sector, and research on it is now in full swing. It is anticipated to offer the automotive industry a safer and more cost-effective alternative.

Based On The Transmission System Of The Vehicle
